For us “old” is not derogatory; “young” is
not negative. This applies to the more than
2.900 employees at our six factories.
There are many amongst them who have
influenced the rise of WEPA from a paper
wholesaler in the Sauerland to a manufacturer
of hygiene paper of international
recognition. Their high expertise is passed
on to the following generations. The personnel
structure is a healthy mixture of
young and old.
As a company with a sense of responsibility,
WEPA has always invested in training and
further education measures that could
prove of value to the daily work routine.
WEPA trains industrial clerks and business
management graduates, energy system
electronics engineers, industrial mechanics
and – of course – paper makers. And we
take our employees seriously. We give
them the opportunity to develop creativity;
the opportunity to grasp the initiative; the
freedom to take personal responsibility for
their actions. It is the open communication
at all levels, minimum hierarchy, short routes
to decisions and team-oriented thinking that
set the tone of our company culture.
